How does Dysport work?
The Dysport treatment at VIVOS Wellness is a swift and straightforward procedure, typically completed within minutes after your consultation and examination. Most patients find the treatment comfortable due to the use of a fine-gauge needle, minimizing discomfort, although an anesthetic can be provided upon request. Dysport is composed of a clean form of botulinum toxin type A to relax or block signals to particular facial muscles temporarily. It ensures your features stay proportionate and your natural beauty is enhanced rather than distorted.
How soon can I expect to see results?
Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically 1-3 days, the most noticeable results appear as the visibility of your frown lines is minimized to create a softer, rejuvenated look. Improvements continue up to 3-4 months after treatment, and subsequent treatments may be performed to extend results. Post-treatment, you are welcome to resume your daily activities. However, avoiding strenuous exercises for approximately 24 hours is advisable to ensure the best possible results.
What can I expect after the procedure?
Our staff will advise individual patients of their post-procedure requirements. The great thing about Dysport is that it requires such little downtime. You will probably notice light swelling and redness around the injected area, but this generally will dissipate on its own in a few days. We recommend that you sleep upright for at least one night and still apply a cool compress as needed. You are able to return to your normal activities almost immediately following the treatment. However, take your hats and sun protection if you enjoy boating or other outdoor activities.
